Dream Circle 2005
In view of promoting budding painters form eastern India, Artists Circle had invited young artists from the eastern region - the following States Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Jharkand, Orissa and West Bengal to participate in a workshop competition. The workshop was open to recommendations from every state cultural department from where the artists participated. The workshop for final candidates was held at Lake Land Country Club where all the participating artists were hosted. The inauguration was held at Victoria Memorial premises and the inauguration and lamp lighting was done by Sri Gopalkrishna Gandhi,Governor West Bengal.
This interactive workshop for 45 young artists from 11 Northeastern States took place at Kolkata between 18th November to 21st November 2005. The event was partly sponsored by The Victoria Memorial and took place at Lake land Country Club.
